SBYL Referees
Referee Registration
All officials, including returning referees, are required to register through the SBYL Referee Program each season. New officials will receive training and certification at no cost, while Junior Referees, first-year 8th-grade officials who are not yet 14, will serve as in-house trainee referees, primarily officiating U8 games alongside experienced officials. This program supports both boys and girls programs and provides a pathway for officials to learn, gain confidence, and earn game fees while giving back to the sport.
