Financial Assistance
So all kids can play
Financial Assistance
At Stonington Bears Youth Lacrosse, we believe youth sports are one of the most powerful tools for teaching life skills and building character. Teamwork, resilience, accountability, and confidence all grow through consistent coaching, positive teammates, and the challenges of competition. Lacrosse adds an extra layer to that experience. It is a fast, creative, and uniquely demanding sport that teaches kids how to think quickly, communicate, handle adversity, and trust both themselves and their teammates. We want as many kids as possible to have access to that.
At the same time, lacrosse is a stick-and-ball sport that requires equipment, and the cost of entry has historically been high. SBYL is committed to breaking down the financial barriers that keep kids from playing.
Thanks to local sponsors, community partners, and families who believe in our mission, we work hard to keep registration costs low and to offer financial assistance to any player who needs it. Whether it is help with registration fees, equipment, or both, our goal is simple: if a child wants to play lacrosse, we want to make sure they can.
Youth sports should be accessible. Lacrosse should be accessible. And the positive impact SBYL can have on kids should never be limited by financial circumstances.
