Welcome to our Registration page. As a reminder you will need to have your players active US Lacrosse # to participate. You will notice this during the registration process. Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Answer: Our league welcomes PK (3 years old) - 8th grade.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Answer: Season begins in April (weather dependent) and will end in June.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Answers: Practices and home games are held at a number of fields in Stonington High School & North Stonington High Schoo & Rec fields (depending on your coach and level). Games may be played against other local teams and at JAMs.

Answers: Practices and home games are held at a number of fields in Stonington High School & North Stonington High Schoo & Rec fields (depending on your coach and level). Practice time will be up to your coach's.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Answer: Games will be scheduled by your teams coach.
Jerseys
Are uniforms provided or are they purchased separately?
Answers: League uniforms are required. Parents are responsible for the purchase of your uniforms.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Answer: Only additional expenses to you will be if your team participates in additional JAMS/tournaments outside of what is already scheduled. Contact your coach for additional clarification.
Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment do I need for youth lacrosse?
For boys: Boys lacrosse stick, lacrosse helmet, mouth guard, gloves and shoulder pads.
Goaltenders are excluded from wearing shoulder pads but must wear a helmet, mouth guard, gloves, chest and throat protection. Arm pads and protective cups are recommended.
For Girls: Girls lacrosse stick, protective eye-wear, colored mouth guard (mouthpieces must be colored in order to be visible by a referee/coach; gloves nose protection and soft head-wear are optional.
Goaltenders must wear a helmet with face mask, gloves, mouth guard, chest and throat protection. Youth goalies are also required to wear pelvic and abdominal padding.
When does Stonington youth teams play games?
All games are scheduled by team coach's. Typically games are held on Saturday's or Sunday's.
What is U.S. Lacrosse?
The national governing boy of men's and women's lacrosse. All players must be current members of U.S. Lacrosse upon registering for Stonington Bears Lacrosse program. You can register here.
What is the major difference between Boys and Girls lacrosse?
In Boys' lacrosse, body contact and checking sticks are allowed. In Girls' lacrosse, no body contact is allowed and modified stick checking at 7th/8t grade level only.
